Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) — Investor
The CDP's climate change program provides critical climate change data from thousands of the world's largest corporations to inform the global marketplace on investment risk and commercial opportunity. Information is provided on greenhouse gas emissions and climate change strategies.

CDP Water Disclosure provides critical water-related data from the world's largest corporations to inform the global marketplace on investment risk and commercial opportunity. Information is provided on the risks and opportunities companies face in relation to water; on water usage and exposure to water stress in companies' own operations and in their supply chains; and on companies' water management plans and governance.

International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (OGP)
The International Association of Oil & Gas Producers encompasses most of the world's leading publicly-traded, private and state-owned oil & gas companies, oil & gas associations and major upstream service companies. An essential part of the OGP's mission is to represent the interests of the upstream industry before international regulators and legislators. The OGP has separate reports for environmental and health and safety data.

Mining Association of Canada (MAC) — Towards Sustainable Mining Report
The Mining Association of Canada's mission is to promote, through the collective action of members, the growth and development of Canada's mining and mineral-processing industry, for the benefit of all Canadians. MAC's Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) initiative is based on the concept of improving members performance in the area of corporate social responsibility. The goal is continuous improvement for its members and for MAC's work on TSM.
As a member of the Mining Association of Canada (MAC) and part of TSM, Suncor and other member companies follow guiding principles and report on indicators that measure performance for specific mining activities, such as:
Each indicator has criteria to help MAC members assess their TSM performance.
New performance elements for health and safety, biodiversity and conservation are being tested and will be publicly reported by MAC members in the future.

Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) — Stewardship Report
The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers represents member companies that produce about 90% of Canada's natural gas and crude oil. CAPP's mission is to enhance the economic sustainability of the Canadian upstream petroleum industry in a safe, environmentally and socially responsible manner, through constructive engagement and communication with governments, the public and stakeholders in the communities in which its members operate. CAPP's Stewardship Report represents its members' commitment to responsible development and continuous improvement in environment, health and safety, and social performance.

United Nations (UN) Global Compact — Communication on Progress Report (COP)
The United Nations Global Compact is both a policy platform and a practical framework for companies that are committed to sustainability and responsible business practices.
As a leadership initiative endorsed by chief executives, it seeks to align business operations and strategies everywhere with 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
Each year, signatories outline ways in which they implement these principles and support broader development objectives through a Communication on Progress Report.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI)
The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes track the financial performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide. Based on the co-operation of Dow Jones Indexes, STOXX Limited and SAM, they provide asset managers with reliable and objective benchmarks to manage sustainability portfolios.
In 2000 Jantzi Research (Jantzi-Sustainalytics) launched the Jantzi Social Index®. The index is a socially-screened, market capitalization-weighted common stock index modelled on the S&P/TSX 60 and consists of 60 Canadian companies that pass a set of broadly based environmental, social, and governance rating criteria.
The FTSE4Good Index Series has been designed to measure the performance of companies that meet globally recognized corporate responsibility standards, and to facilitate investment in those companies.
