Suncor is committed to meaningful consultation and engagement with First Nations. By understanding First Nations issues and concerns, we are able to gain knowledge and develop innovative solutions to improve our environmental performance.

At Suncor, we’ve found the committees to be an excellent way to address environmental issues and develop meaningful relationships with community members based on shared learning and mutual respect.
Through these advisory committees, we are currently exploring ways to expand the conversation. We want to work collaboratively and proactively to find ways to minimize Suncor’s impact on land, water and air resources, and further improve our environmental monitoring and reclamation efforts. We believe this is the right way to operate and one that will help us continuously raise the bar on Suncor’s environmental performance.
